Terms and Conditions

Last updated 16 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the RenterReady website and app (the "Service"). The Service is provided by Ru-ffel Faissal trading as Renter Ready ("Renter Ready", "we", "us"). When you use the Service or buy from us, you are contracting with Ru-ffel Faissal trading as Renter Ready.

By creating an account, using the Service or continuing to use it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

RenterReady helps renters and guarantors assess rental properties: a viewing scorecard, bill estimates, comparisons, shareable reports, guarantor linking, and move-in/move-out evidence records. The optional Deposit Protection Pack is a one-off digital purchase that unlocks evidence PDF reports and pack downloads (guarantor checklist, cap-liability letter template and deposit dispute guide) for the buyer and their linked accounts.

RenterReady provides general information and tools only. It is not legal, financial or surveying advice, and it does not guarantee the outcome of any deposit dispute or tenancy.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, notes and readings you upload. You give us a limited licence to store and process them only to provide the Service to you and people you choose to share with.

5. Our intellectual property

We own the Service and all of its intellectual property, including software, documentation, templates, design and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for personal, non-commercial purposes.

6. Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our refund commitment is set out in our Refund Policy.

7. Availability

Premium renter membership

Premium is a separate £1.99 monthly subscription for renter accounts, providing AI-powered checks of property advert text for unclear rent, bills and tenancy wording, with suggested questions for the letting agent. Premium does not include the Deposit Protection Pack. The final price and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Premium renews monthly unless cancelled through the billing portal on the Premium page. Cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the paid period. Payment problems may require updating your payment method.

Each Deposit Protection Pack bought by a guarantor includes six calendar months of free premium for up to two distinct linked renter accounts. Gifts are allocated automatically in linking order, including future links, and begin when allocated. Unused gifts remain available for future links. Each renter can receive only one gift per pack; unlinking and relinking does not reset the gift or release its slot. Additional packs may extend gifted access. Access requires an active link and a paid, undisputed pack; full refunds and chargebacks suspend the gift. Gifts expire without automatic charges. Existing paid subscriptions are not automatically paused or cancelled; renters can manage those separately through billing.

Premium also includes private in-app tenancy reminders, plain-language AI contract clause explanations and AI letting-agent message drafts. All are available only to premium renter accounts, not linked guarantors. Reminders are visible when you open the app, without email or push delivery, and do not replace your own calendar or verification of tenancy deadlines.

A guarantor may pay £1.99/month for a linked renter without premium after using all available free pack gift slots. The guarantor manages billing and cancellation. Removing the account link cancels future sponsored renewals; the renter keeps the already-paid period.

AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate. Check important information with the agent and an appropriate adviser; do not rely on it as legal advice. Review message drafts before sending; the app does not send them. Remove personal or confidential information from submitted text. We send it to our AI service solely to produce the requested check, explanation or draft.

We work to keep the Service running well, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously break our acceptable use rules. You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. When your account is closed, we delete your data as described in our Privacy Notice.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost deposits, profits or data. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

10. General

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we will tell you through the Service. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
